Carnarvon Gorge Wilderness Lodge is a place to unwind in comfort amid an ancient unspoilt tranquil wilderness. It is located about 250 kilometres north of Roma and approximately two and a half kilometres from the entrance to the main walking track through Carnarvon Gorge (which is also the Carnarvon Gorge National Park Rangers Headquarters). Get set to relax with nature in one of their 30 separately appointed safari cabins set among native trees and ancient macrozamia palms. The cabins offer tea and coffee making facilities, air cooling and heating and this remarkable wilderness hideaway is complemented by a licensed restaurant which is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The lodge offers swimming in our lodge pool, bushwalking, nature-watching, bird watching, access to historic Aboriginal art sites and is a perfect setting to unwind and get away from it all. Please note: The cabins are not self contained; there are no cooking facilities inside the cabins, on site and nor do they allow setting up of cooking equipment.
