With 18 islands in the Southern Great Barrier Reef, the Keppel Isles boasts the best of the reef, pristine white sand beaches and sparkling blue sea - you’ll be begging to get castaway!

With the protection of a fringing reef, the waters surrounding the Keppels are amazingly calm, making it perfect for all types of water sports such as snorkeling, sea kayaking, water-skiing and tubing. An abundance of tropical fish, and colourful coral fills the water only a short swim away. If you want to dive a little deeper, he Keppels are surrounded by shallow fringing reefs and vast, abundant marine life. Divers can experience more than 40 dive locations, and see hundreds of different varieties of tropical fish, hard and soft coral, friendly turtles, sea snakes, dolphins, and giant manta rays.

The main accessible island is Great Keppel Island and ferries depart most days to from Pier One, Rosslyn Bay and Keppel Bay Marina. There are also a number of charters, and full day cruises, sailing adventures, and extended tour options are also available from Keppel Bay Marina.

Great Keppel Island offers travelers a range of accommodation, from tents and cabins or even a private beach house on the water's edge. Take a few days to walk through through its tropical bushland and explore some of it's 17 pristine white-sand beaches.  Or not - this is the place you can just sit back and soak up the sun on island time.
