Sport Leadership Grants and Scholarships for Women

DESCRIPTION
Sport Leadership Grants and Scholarships for Women, provides women with opportunities to undertake training to reach their leadership potential within the industry as coaches, officials and administrators. Grants of up to $5,000 for individuals and $10,000 for organisations, and scholarships of up to $10,000 per annum, are available. Grants and scholarships are available in the following categories:
- coaching
- officiating
- governance
- management and administration
- communications, media and marketing.
The Sport Leadership Grants and Scholarships for Women program is an initiative of the Australian Government that is managed by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) in partnership with the Australian Government Office for Women.

DESCRIPTION The Jupiters Casino Community Benefit Fund receives money from taxes on casinos. It distributes these funds to not-for-profit community groups on a quarterly basis. The JCCBF is just one way the Government returns taxes from gambling activities. In redistributing gambling taxes through its grants program, the JCCBF plays an important role in ensuring, on balance, the whole State benefits from gambling in Queensland.

Get Active Queensland Accreditation Program

The Queensland Government Sport and Recreation Services are offering FREE training for teachers, school sport volunteers, tertiary and senior school students that can lead to recognised accreditation in coaching, officiating and sports First Aid.

Some of the courses that will be available include Cricket, Football, Futsal, Netball and Athletics Coaching, Sports First Aid, Swimming and Water Safety and much more. Participants registered for any coaching courses, who are NOT Registered Teachers OR a current Level 1 Coach in any sport, will need to attain the Beginning Coaching General Principles Certificate. This can be completed online at www.ausport.gov.au/participating.
