Addressing Eating Disorders In Primary Care - ROCKHAMPTON

The National Eating Disorders Collaboration (NEDC) and Central Queensland, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast PHN invite all medical and health professionals to a 2-hour professional development workshop on eating disorders in primary care.


The workshop will cover screening and assessment, management and treatment, supporting patient and carers, recovery and essential elements of care, referral pathways, support services, and resources.


Join us at 6:00pm for a free casual dinner. The workshop will commence at 6:30pm. 


We hope to provide this education to as many health professionals as possible. While it is a free event, registrations are essential. Please inform NEDC or the PHN should you no longer be able to attend.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:



  • Identify clinical presentations where further screening and assessment for eating disorders is warranted

  • Recognise and implement evidence based strategies in the prevention, early identification and management of eating disorders

  • Explain essential elements of care and implement multidisciplinary strategies to improve client health outcomes

  • Identify and integrate referral pathways and specialised support services into practice
