Spend some quality time nurturing your little ones while exploring and creating art in a relaxed, social setting. Mess about, bond, play and interact with your kids under the guidance of a qualified gallery educator. The activities are designed to enrich children’s creativity and awareness of the visual world around them while also helping to develop fine motor skills. All art materials are supplied and tea or coffee is available for the accompanying parent or carer.
Who: Under 3s and their parent, grandparent or carer
Price: $10 per session | $8 Friends of the Gallery [includes materials, qualified arts educator, tea or coffee on arrival. $10 per additional child.]
Where: Rockhampton Art Gallery, Beatrice Hutton Room (entry via the front of the Gallery, directly off Victoria Parade)
Parking: Victoria Parade or Bolsover Car Park behind the Gallery
About the Tutor
Ainslie McMahon is a local artist/educator who has exhibited widely in regional Queensland and facilitated numerous community art workshops for people of all ages. Her work is included in regional gallery collections in Bundaberg and Rockhampton, and numerous private collections.
Ainslie works from her home studio in a rural location near Rockhampton, producing contemporary artwork in the genre of the landscape and culture of Central Queensland.
