Would you like to make a beautiful, intricately designed necklace? Enjoy a creative and relaxed Saturday afternoon making your own porcelain jewellery.
Working with white and coloured porcelain clay, you will create a unique and sophisticated necklace to keep and treasure or give to a friend.
Discover how to manipulate the clay to make hollow spherical beads, like the one pictured, in a variety of sizes. You will then decorate your jewellery pieces using different techniques, and compliment your hollow beads by making a selection of small solid beads.
Build up a striking ensemble of different porcelain beads that you can later turn into a necklace.
At the end of the session, your creations will be taken away for firing and returned to Rockhampton Art Gallery within two weeks for you to collect. You can then use them to create your own pieces of personalised jewellery.
