IWD is a global day celebrating the achievements of women – while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality. The first IWD occured in 1911, supported by over one million people. Today, it belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. It’s not country, group or organisation specific.

So let’s be inclusive, all the time, everywhere.
