On Friday 6th March, 2020 at 6:30am the annual International Women’s Day Breakfast will be hosted by the Zonta Club of Rockhampton Inc at the Frenchville Sports Club, Clifton Street, North Rockhampton.

The theme for the Breakfast is Generation Equality#EachforEqual. An equal world is an enabled world. A call to action across generations, to create a new vision where every girl and woman everywhere has equal opportunities to lead, to learn, to earn a decent living and to live lives free from violence and discrimination.

Rockhampton Magistrate Philippa Beckinsale will be the Guest Speaker. Enjoy a delicious breakfast while we showcase the talent and contribution of women in the local area through the presentation of the Zonta Living Treasure Award and the Young Women in Public Affairs Award. There will be raffles and a lucky door prize.

International Women’s Day has become a time to reflect on progress, to call for change and to celebrate the courage and determination of the women who changed history and those who will advance gender equality into the future. International Women’s Day is an occasion to review how far women have come in their struggle for equality, peace and development. It is also an opportunity to unite, network and mobilise for meaningful change.
